Gary Uftring has been a fixture to central Illinois car buyers for many years, including before the acquisition of his first dealership in Washington. Mr. Uftring began his automotive career on the wash rack at a small dealership in Minonk, Illinois. Armed with the determination to succeed and the desire to become a top salesman, he took advantage of opportunities as a “fill in” sales consultant when the store was short staffed. When he turned 18, the owner of the dealership agreed to let him sell cars full time. Because he was so young, Mr. Uftring focused on exceptional product knowledge and a passion for cars – two traits that serve him well to this day. Over the years, Mr. Uftring has developed an/or acquired multiple dealerships in central Illinois. However, his focus has always remained on great customer service and a commitment to giving back to the community.
I have been with the Uftring Auto Group since 2000. I was born and raised in Washington, Il and currently reside there. I enjoy spending time with my lovely wife Melissa and three children (2 daughters, 1 son). Outside of work I love being around classic cars and fishing in the spring and summer.
